I am bad at updating.
---
It was 6 hours of journey from Madinah to Makkah.
First stop was at Bir Ali, for our first umrah miqat.. This was taken inside the mosque. Bir Ali is actually a very busy mosque. There were so many buses at the parking area, waiting for jemaah. The buses come and go, non-stop, because Bir Ali is the only place to miqat for people from Madinah.
We had this, I called it mixed mandy, after 4 hours non-stop journey. We were hungry, and alhamdulillah this dish tasted good! Must be because of growling tummy. Heh.
Masjidil Haram is one busiest (this is grammatically wrong i think) place of all time. This was at wee hour in the morning, I would say half past three. We just finished our tawaf and sai'e. I was tired due to long hours in the bus, I can't even set the flash to work.
The next morning. Went to Tana'im for second umrah miqat. This mosque is also known as Saidatina Aishah Mosque, because Aishah RA used to go to Tana'im for miqat. It wasn't that far from Masjidil Haram. The cab charged only SR10 for each person, I overheard the cab driver conversation.
Bukit Safa. Finished sai'e.. Oh I miss this place!
While taking break after sai'e and waiting for Zuhur prayer, I snapped picture of mother reciting her mini Quran. I must say, this journey was so meaningful to me, not only spiritually between me and Him, it also thought me / made me thinking a lot on mother-daughter relationship.
It was sad to realize my mother is now significantly aged over the years. She used to be so energetic, she is still. However, at night, when we both were alone in our hotel room, I looked at my beautiful mother, sleeping soundly, with mild snores (hehhe!), I know, age finally taken its toll on her.
Oh. The way I put it sounds so bad, but what I mean is mother is aging, and I hate to acknowledge this.
I pray to Allah SWT asking for my mother to live long enough so that I get the chance to re-pay her, tho even a million year will not be enough for me to do so.
The inside of Masjidil Haram. Inside of Masjid Nabawi is more beautiful to compare with.
We were in this one restaurant, buying something, trying to have a taste on local meal. I must say, their hospitiality is 0. No! Make it negative 50. Huh.
The thumb was supposed to go the other way round.
I didn't really like it. Half Moon Restaurant offers way better Middle East dishes I must say.
Jabal Thur, where our Prophet SAW received the first wahyu. No, I wasn't sleeping while standing, hehe, it was bright. Given my silau, it was real bright at that time.
This was the entrance we used to get inside of Al Haram. My mother made me promised to wait for her here, at this Babul Malik Abdul Aziz Gate if we ever got separated.
This was taken towards the end of our stay in Makkah. See the sea of people tawaf around the Kaabah? It was before Zuhur prayer, where the sun is right above our head. It was so hot back then, but it didn't prevent them to go seeking for blessing from Allah SWT.
Please don't tell me my mother's biological clock for a granddaughter is ticking fast. Hahha. One among many we had the chance to talk to. This is Mobina from Iran.
One of many trips, in an attempt to look for more souvenirs. We ended up buying bags to put those 'hasil lontaran' in. And also ended up going to the money changer we said we will not go again. Heh!
OK. Dah penat. Thats all. Bye!
